A typical comb is created using injection molding, which is a cheap and fast way to make plastic goods. But this process leaves tiny ridges on the teeth of the comb which will grab, scratch, and over time cause split-ends or breakage. The best combs, like Kent combs, are made from cellulose acetate which is a plastic derived from plants (read: no static cling), and are hand-buffed so those rough edges are eliminated.

After 100 years, the masters at Kent Brushes in England have rereleased their beard brush with a slightly updated design for the 21st century. The original design elements remain the same — a hand carved wood handle fixed with specially selected natural boar bristle. The curved handle and slanted bristles, however, are the perfect updates for the modern beardsman.

Each brush comes with a beautiful hand-stitched cotton bag with double-sided printing. One side features the original Kent logo from 1777, the other their brand new beard logo. The Old World perfectly married with the new, the perfect metaphor for the Kent Beard Brush.
