It's best to apply after a warm shower, but wetting and patting your beard damp dry will work in a pinch. Scoop out a dollop of balm and work between your fingers and in your palms. The smell reminds me of what it is to be a man. I swing hammers on tires and shit and also run miles with my shirt wrapped around my head so this is right up my alley. Rock on, you glorious bearded bastards.

Great packaging, and love that it's natural and USA made. The balm has a smooth finish and keeps the beard aoft which is great. It is however very greasy. I liked how subtle the scent was, not overpowering. However in my opinion the scent far missed the mark of what I thought the description was. Cool product, just overpriced for what I experienced in my opinion.
